Ed Gale, Managing Director in our Tech & Tech Services team, has been named Dealmaker of the Year at the Insider North West Dealmakers Awards 2026.

The awards, held at Manchester Central, brought together the region’s corporate finance community to recognise the teams, individuals and transactions that have shaped another active year for dealmaking across the North West.
Since joining Clearwater in 2022, Ed has established himself as one of the North West’s leading advisers in the tech space. Alongside delivering landmark transactions, he is passionate about supporting the region’s technology ecosystem, working with ambitious businesses, investors and management teams to support their growth.
Recently, Ed has led several significant technology transactions, including:
- Interact Software sold to Castik Capital
- Investment in Matcher Technologies Ltd from ReproTech LLC
- Investment in fulfilmentcrowd from Palatine
Since then, he has continued to build on this track record, advising on Tenzing-backed Tillo acquisition of Amilon and Distology on its sale to Foresight Group.
