We have once again advised Celero Capital–backed Corteco, a Nordic provider of building renovation and maintenance solutions, on its acquisition of VB Group, a leading group of Finnish roofing contractors. With nearly 35 years of experience and strong expertise in bitumen-based roofing solutions, VB Group has built a solid market position across southern Finland. This marks Corteco’s second acquisition in Finland within a short period, further strengthening its platform in exterior renovation and maintenance and bringing combined Finnish revenues to more than €50m. With a presence spanning Sweden, Norway, and Finland, Corteco continues to pursue both organic and inorganic growth while leveraging the collective expertise across the group.
VB Group is a leading group of roofing contractors in Finland, consisting of five well-established companies based in Turku and operating across southern Finland. The group specialises in bitumen-based roofing solutions for residential, industrial and commercial properties, offering a comprehensive service portfolio covering roof renovation, maintenance, and repairs. VB Group was founded in 1991 and generates annual revenues of approximately €20m.
Established in July 2022, Celero Capital-backed Corteco provides comprehensive outer shell renovation and maintenance solutions. Since its inception, it has welcomed 17 companies, significantly enhancing its capabilities in the renovation of façades, windows, roofs, balconies, courtyards, and garages. Following the acquisition, the group has a combined turnover of over €210m (SEK 2.3bn) and approximately 900 employees.
