We have advised DGS S.p.A. (DGS), a leading operator in the Italian information technology market specialising in the digital transformation of business processes and cybersecurity services, on its acquisition of A.I.Gen. Advanced Intelligence Generation S.r.l. (A.I.Gen.), a technological centre of excellence in the artificial intelligence sector and a portfolio company of Xenon Private Equity.
This transaction allows DGS to consolidate its leadership in digital transformation services, expanding its activities in fast-growing areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), as well as marketing strategy and technology.
The acquisition is part of the broader industrial development project that DGS's shareholders alongside its partner ICG, a leading global asset manager in alternative investments, are pursuing through organic growth and strategic acquisitions to position DGS as a major player in the Italian information technology sector, capable of supporting customers in the design and implementation of customised services and solutions for security and digital business transformation.
With a turnover of over €320m and over 2,000 employees operating throughout Italy, DGS is already a reference point in high-tech services for digital transformation and IT security, and with the integration of A.I.Gen., it will be able to further enrich its offering in the data intelligence, AI, and Martech sectors.
