The expansion of the senior team enhances our ability to advise on increasingly complex transactions, while continuing to develop talent and support the next phase of development in the region.

Mattias joined Clearwater in May 2022 and has since played an important role in the development of the Swedish team. With a strong background in M&A advisory and previous experience at KPMG and BNP Paribas, he has led numerous successful transactions.

As Director, he will take on increased responsibility for leading transactions, advising on strategic processes, and developing the team.

Mattias Nilsson commented:

“I find what we do incredibly rewarding, and I’m extremely grateful to continue developing in my role at Clearwater alongside highly skilled colleagues, with the opportunity to work with excellent, well-managed, and exciting companies.”

The promotion of Mattias enhances the leadership team as it continues to build momentum in the
mid-market.

Tomas Almgren, Managing Partner, commented:

“From day one, Mattias has demonstrated the technical expertise, commercial awareness, and client focus that we value highly. He has developed strongly and truly deserves this promotion. We look forward to continuing to grow together with him in his expanded role.”

Bruce Weir, COO, commented:

“Mattias’s promotion reflects both his individual contribution and our commitment to developing talent from within, ensuring we are well positioned to support our clients and teams over the long term.”
