Clearwater has advised the founders and owners of We Are Padel (WAP), a leading Swedish operator of padel centres, on the sale to Triton, a European private equity investor with global presence.
WAP was founded in Örebro, Sweden, by a group of entrepreneurs and padel enthusiasts in 2017. The company has rapidly established itself as a leading operator of padel centres with a series of new branches opening across Sweden, all with focus on the premium segment of the market, and with a clear objective to contribute to an active lifestyle through local padel club collaborations.
Triton has acquired a majority share of WAP and will contribute with resources and growth experience in the continued development of the company. The previous owners will retain a minority stake in the company and continue their operative commitments going forward.
