We have advised AMG Nursing & Care Services (AMG), a trusted provider of nurse-led home care in the UK, on its sale to Waterland Private Equity.

AMG is one of the UK’s largest homecare providers, serving the NHS, local authorities and private clients across the North West and Midlands. The business operates across three main service lines of complex care, discharge to assess and homecare.

Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Staffordshire, the business operates eight CQC-registered branches and coordinates more than 34,000 hours of care in patients’ homes each week. With over 1,500 carers, the business is a recognised scaled provider of high quality care services across its regions.

It has been a real pleasure working closely with Dean and the wider AMG team throughout this process. They have built an impressive business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, clinically led care, supported by a hugely dedicated team. Our healthcare team is delighted to have supported the business in finding a partner that shares their ambition and can help AMG build on its strong foundations as it grows.

This transaction is a great example of the continued investment we’re seeing across the complex care sector. Demand for specialist, clinically led care at home continues to grow, particularly as the health and social care system looks for high-quality alternatives to prolonged hospital stays and more traditional care settings. Investment in established providers such as AMG can help increase capacity, broaden access to specialist care and support more people with complex needs to live independently in their own homes.
