We have advised Tikehau Capital on the signing of an agreement to sell Elvia Electronics, a French designer and manufacturer of high-reliability printed circuit boards (PCBs), to Latour Capital. The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Elvia Electronics serves high-tech industries including defence, robotics, space, aerospace, energy, automotive and industrial applications. As France’s largest PCB manufacturer and a major European player, the Group operates an integrated industrial model spanning the entire value chain, from co-design with customers’ engineering teams to direct delivery to their production lines. Elvia Electronics employs approximately 420 people across three production sites in Coutances (headquarters), Châteaubourg and Puiseaux, as well as a technical centre in Meung-sur-Loire.

Since Tikehau Capital’s investment in March 2022 through its aerospace- and defence-focused private equity fund, Elvia Electronics has undergone a significant transformation and achieved strong growth, supported by an ambitious investment programme that has expanded its industrial capacity and strengthened its engineering capabilities.

Latour Capital, an independent French investment firm with €5bn in assets under management, has entered into an agreement to acquire Elvia Electronics through its Émergence Défense fund. With Latour Capital’s backing and sector expertise, the Group aims to further consolidate its position in high-end, high-reliability electronics, pursue operational excellence and accelerate its international expansion, while continuing to invest in its industrial footprint in France.

The entire Elvia Electronics team is delighted by the proposed acquisition of the company by Latour Capital. Since Tikehau’s investment in March 2022, a major investment plan has enabled us, in particular, to expand the industrial capacity of our production facilities and strengthen our engineering teams. We would like to sincerely thank the Tikehau teams and the members of Elvia Electronics’ Supervisory Board. This exciting new chapter for the Elvia Electronics teams begins with the support and sector expertise of Latour Capital. Our ambition is to continue developing our industrial operations in France, reinforce our differentiation strategy in the high-end electronics market, strive for operational excellence and accelerate the Group’s international expansion.

Elvia Electronics is a French and European industry leader in a strategically critical segment where resilience and independence are becoming increasingly essential. Its technological and industrial expertise, which few European players still possess, makes it an indispensable partner for European sovereign programmes. Alongside a management team whose outstanding achievements we commend, we will provide the resources and support needed to further strengthen and consolidate its leadership position.
