Clearwater has advised VM Finance Ltd (VFML) on raising a senior funding line from NatWest to support the continued growth of its UK property development and investment lending book.

VMFL is the UK subsidiary of VM Group, a leading financial institution in the Caribbean, which has provided solutions for generations of Jamaican and Caribbean Nationals for over 140 years. Having doubled the live loan book over the past 18 months, VMFL is an established specialist non-bank funding partner for experienced property developers in the United Kingdom. The business helps to fund development and investment opportunities for residential, commercial and mixed-use properties.

The current market dislocation provides VMFL, an experienced lender with strong governance and compliance framework in place, with an attractive opportunity to continue the strong growth in lending volumes to new and existing customers. The funding line from NatWest will provide the fire power to help support the ongoing expansion of services into new geographical markets and product lines.
