Clearwater has advised the Thornton Group (Thornton) and its shareholders on its acquisition by Davies Group (Davies).

Thornton is a leading multi-line claims adjusting and third-party administration business specialising in property, casualty, energy, marine & engineering and jewellery claims. Operating from three locations across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, Thornton provides end-to-end claims solutions to Insurers, brokers, MGA’s and corporates.

Davies is a multi-award winning operations management, consulting and digital solutions provider to organisations in highly regulated markets and to global businesses. Davies core service lines include claims solutions, insurance services, and consulting & technology and has a 2,000-strong team of professionals across the UK, Ireland, Bermuda, US and Canada with headquarters in the City of London.

This acquisition will bring Davies existing Ireland claims businesses with Thornton, creating an unrivalled claims adjusting and TPA capability for its Irish and International insurance clients in Ireland.
