Clearwater has advised the owners of PM Pack, a Danish value-added distributor of packaging materials and packaging machines, on the sale of the business to Bunzl, a listed UK specialist distribution and services group.
PM Pack is a one-stop-shop provider of complete high-quality solutions within packaging machines, packaging materials, related products and services. The company has a strong market position and is an established brand within the food sector.
Extensive product knowledge and expertise, within both packaging material and machinery, allows PM Pack to offer customised solutions. This has enabled the company to build a highly loyal customer base of over 1,800 customers, primarily located in Denmark and Norway.
Bunzl is a UK-based global distribution and services business, with a focus on essential products for the food service, safety, retail, grocery, cleaning, and healthcare industry. Listed on the London Stock Exchange, the Bunzl group has approximately 21,000 employees and an annual turnover of €11.7bn .
This acquisition is expected to strengthen Bunzl’s market position in Denmark, within the distribution of packaging materials and machines for the food industry. The new ownership is also expected to provide attractive synergies and support accelerated growth for PM Pack, both in Denmark and abroad.
