Clearwater has advised Storskogen on its divestment of Dextry Group, a leading surface services provider, and its acquisition by Håndverksgruppen, the largest surface services provider in the Nordics.

Dextry Group offers sustainable services within painting, window renovations, facade, and roof maintenance. Its customer base primarily consists of construction and property companies, as well as public sector entities. The group has 14 operating units across Sweden, employs around 600 people and has a turnover of more €60m.

Håndverksgruppen was formed in 2020 through the merger of 30 local companies and has been consolidating well-performing surface service companies since day one. The company has made over 125 acquisitions and employs around 4,000 employees.

The acquisition of Dextry Group will help Håndverksgruppen to further strengthen its position in the Swedish market.

While it may sound like a cliché, it is undeniably true that this partnership is a perfect match. Dextry's units are strategically located in areas where Håndverksgruppen's presence is currently limited. Simultaneously, our expertise in capitalising on local relationships while achieving economies of scale will greatly benefit Dextry. This is a situation where two plus two is greater than four.

Our 14 operating units in Sweden have now joined the Håndverksgruppen family, renowned for its expertise in crafts, particularly surfaces—an area that aligns perfectly with our own passion. We have observed in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark that Håndverksgruppen possesses exceptional ownership qualities, displays professional work methods, and demonstrates a strong drive for success. I believe this is a concept that fits perfectly with our way of working and that this partnership will benefit both parties.

Conny Endrell, CEO, Dextry Group

With its strong market position, Dextry sparked great interest in the selective process we ran. Storskogen has achieved significant progress in the group's development, and with Håndverksgruppen, Dextry becomes part of a fast-growing Nordic industry leader.
