Clearwater has advised the Danish supplier of total solutions within pumps for agriculture and industry, Scanregn A/S (Scanregn), on the sale to Swedish Vestum AB (Vestum).
Scanregn is the market-leading one-stop-shop supplier of irrigation pumps and related equipment for the agricultural industry in Denmark. The company has distinguished itself by offering not only products but the entire solution and counselling surrounding the product, which has led to significant growth over the years. Scanregn has also been successful in using existing competencies and know-how to develop solutions for industrial customers and alternative water sources within irrigation. These solutions are expected to grow rapidly in the future.
Vestum is an acquisition-driven Swedish company that focuses on acquiring and developing specialist companies within water, services, and infrastructure. The company has previously been very successful in developing specialist solutions within water through the Lakers Group, which works actively to address sustainability solutions within water use.
As part of the acquisition, Vestum has established a new segment within water, where Scanregn will act as an independent Danish centre for irrigation solutions with other companies under the Lakers Group as part of a Nordic community of companies. The acquisition also marks the entry into agricultural irrigation for Vestum.
