Clearwater advises Nmbrs on its sale to Visma

Clearwater has advised Nmbrs, a SaaS company supporting clients in HR and payroll administration, on its sale to Visma, a market leader in software for business processes and related consultancy services. Earlier in 2023, Clearwater advised Visionplanner, a provider of software that gives users insight into financial and non-financial data, on its sale to Visma.

With more than 120 employees, Nmbrs supports accountancy firms and SMEs with their HR and payroll administration, based on SaaS solutions. This software enables customers to efficiently perform HR processes online, as well as providing customers’ employees with easy access to their HR data, via user-friendly applications. The company’s clients include PwC, Deloitte, Brand New Day, VANMOOF, and Quooker.

Visma provides software that digitises business processes and is active in Scandinavia, the Benelux, Eastern and Central Europe, and Latin America. The company focuses on SMEs, large businesses, and the “semi” public sector.

With the acquisition of Nmbrs, Visma obtains an important position in the HR segment. Nmbrs will continue to operate independently within the Visma group.

There is a strong consolidation among software solution providers focused on administrative processes. The ambition of various parties, such as Visma, is to develop a platform on which a complete package of solutions is offered to accountancy firms and SMEs in Europe. The acquisition of Nmbrs by Visma marks this wave of consolidation
