Clearwater has advised Nordic private equity Litorina on the sale of LGT Logistics (LGT), a leading provider of furniture logistics in the Nordics to Nordic Transport Group (NGT). The sale marks an exit for Litorina, following a successful partnership since 2015.

LGT Logistics has a rich history dating back more than 75 years and today offers a broad range of services within furniture logistics and related services. The customer base consists of well-known designer brands and retailers. LGT operates across the Nordics, with terminals in Denmark, Sweden and Finland. The group employs over 300 people and has a turnover of over €78m (SEK 800m).

NGT is a global group with headquarters in Denmark and operations in over 20 countries. NTG offers their customers a full range of services within road, sea and air freight. The group is listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen.

bakgrund

We wish the entire team the best of luck in the NTG family, and we are confident that LGT, with its solid and unique platform, will continue to thrive and prosper in that environment.

Kristian Holmström, Partner, Litorina
bakgrund

This marks an exciting milestone for LGT. LGT fits perfectly into the decentralised structure of NTG. By joining forces with NTG, we will continue to operate on a stand-alone basis, but with the support from a multinational freight forwarder. It has been a close and valuable co-operation, together with the Litorina team, and I’m now looking forward to continuing developing LGT within NTG.

John Riis, Managing Director, LGT Denmark

It was a pleasure advising Litorina on the process of finding a new owner for LGT, and we remain convinced that LGT will fit in perfectly at NTG. We see large opportunities for synergies and the exchange of knowledge, and look forward to seeing LGT’s development under new ownership.
