Clearwater has advised Alchimia, the majority shareholder of Connexia Società Benefit Srl (Connexia), an Italian marketing and communication agency, on the sale of its entire stake to Retex SpA (Retex), an Italian company that specialises in physical and digital store innovation.
As part of the operation, the minority shareholders and managers Paolo D’Ammassa, Massimiliano Trisolino and Andrea Redaelli will remain shareholders of Connexia, reinvesting together with Retex.
Founded in 2010, Retex provides IT solutions and consulting services, promoting technological and organisational innovation in retail with cutting-edge solutions and services for physical and digital stores. Retex, WeChat's official partner for Europe, has seven offices nationwide, including London and Shanghai, with a turnover of €50m during 2021.
Connexia, with more than 140 professionals and a turnover exceeding €23m in 2021, is a marketing and multi-channel communication agency that supports the growth and transformation of its customers' businesses, by adopting communication, innovation, creativity, technology, content, data and media consulting strategies.
Thanks to the transaction, a group with a turnover of €75m is consolidated, which aims to reach over €100m by 2022, and strengthens Retex's growth strategy aimed at supporting brands in the creation of increasingly engaging and valuable experiences for its customers, both in the digital and physical space.
