We have advised Cdiscount, a mobility solutions leader, on the sale of its subsidiary 1001Pneus, a leading French online retailer of tyres and spare parts for mobility solutions, to Groupe Massa.
Established in 2009 and a subsidiary of Cdiscount since 2018, 1001Pneus is a leading online retailer of tyres and spare parts for mobility solutions in Europe, including France, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, and Germany, exclusively operating in the aftersales market.
Based on a fully digital dropshipping model, 1001Pneus offers c.35k SKUs across c.185 brands to the B2C and the B2B as well as B2B2C segments, within short-time deliveries of 48-72h, whilst bearing very limited inventory. 1001Pneus relies on a strong network of c.5.2k assembly stations, including privileged partnerships with major brands such as Feu Vert, Euromaster, and Best Drive, ensuring a significant geographical footprint in Europe.
Groupe Massa operates as a wholesaler of tyres and spare parts, a car leader, and an e-commerce platform in automotive maintenance and equipment in France. Groupe Massa relies on 10 storage platforms to distribute c.920k SKUs in tyres and spare parts, supplying 90% of the French territory within four hours post-order.
The acquisition of 1001Pneus will allow Groupe Massa to consolidate its position as a leading distributor of tyres and automobile parts to resellers like garages, assembly stations, and more to become an undisputed player to end-clients in France.
