Clearwater has advised the owner of Abildskou, a long-distance bus company in Denmark, on the partial sale to and establishment of a partnership with one of Europe’s leading mobility providers, FlixBus. The owner will continue to operate the buses for Flixbus.
The company was founded in 1960 and has since grown into the leading Danish operator of long-distance bus routes. Abildskou transports more than 450,000 passengers annually on two main routes - Route 888 connecting Jutland with Zealand, and the Berlin Route connecting Jutland with Berlin.
FlixBus is one of Europe’s leading mobility providers with an extensive intercity bus network of over 150,000 daily connections to over 1,000 destinations, in 21 European countries.
