We have advised the shareholders of Garaje de Ideas, S.L. (GDI), a leading Spanish digital transformation services provider, on its sale to European Digital Group (EDG), a French company offering digital transformation and marketing services.
Established in 2015 and headquartered in Madrid, GDI has offices in Madrid, Granada, and Malaga. The company is a design, technology, data, and growth agency focused on digital experience projects and digital asset development for blue-chip clients, many of them Ibex-35.
GDI has three business lines: design, where GDI understands the needs of users and businesses in order to create digital products and services that make strategic sense, are useful, flexible, and accessible; technology, whose team is formed by specialists in all technological disciplines (architecture, front, back, mobile, DXP, and commerce) offering a personalised service, adapted to the existing needs and situations of its clients; and data, a discipline that is always linked to all phases of product design and development, which aims to lay solid foundations in visualisation, customisation, and optimisation to improve the user experience, reduce costs, and facilitate decision making.
Headquartered in Paris and founded in 2019, EDG is the multi-dimensional and multi-sectorial digital transformation and acceleration expert for businesses, both major enterprises and SMEs. With over 1,700 talents, the group achieved revenues exceeding €280m in 2023. The company combines the entrepreneurial energy of industry-leading ultra-specialists with the power of a group, bringing together technological innovations, diverse cutting-edge expertise, and highly specialised teams. Structured with five business units, EDG offers a comprehensive and flexible suite of services, including cybersecurity and technology, data and AI, marketing performance, digital content, and growth enablers.
EDG is backed by two European investment funds, Montefiore Investment (since its creation in 2019) and Latour Capital (since March 2024), providing the necessary resources to finance its development plan in France and abroad.
Both companies will benefit from the significant synergies derived from their integration, creating a relevant player in the Spanish digital transformation services market.
