We have advised Eolfi on its fundraising from CGN to develop offshore floating wind farms.
As part of this Call for Projects, the joint venture formed by Eolfi and CGN Europe Energy was awarded the Groix and Belle-Île project in Brittany in July 2016. This project involves four large General Electric wind turbines, each with a capacity of six megawatts.
In May 2017, Eolfi and CGN Europe Energy opened the capital of "Les Éoliennes Flottantes de Groix & Belle-Île" to two new equity sponsors: Meridiam and Caisse des Dépôts. This pilot project will serve as a stepping stone to the development of a larger commercial wind farm in the future.
Clearwater managed an auction process that led to the selection of CGN Europe Energy as Eolfi’s partner for the Call for Projects in 2016. Clearwater also advised Eolfi during the entry of Meridiam and Caisse des Dépôts into the capital of "Les Éoliennes Flottantes de Groix & Belle-Île" in May 2017.
