Clearwater remains committed to advancing diversity in corporate finance through targeted events that promote a more inclusive industry.

In 2022, Clearwater introduced ClearVision - a women’s network designed to foster mentorship and advocacy in a sector where female representation remains limited. Originally created as a space for women to connect and inspire change, ClearVision has since evolved into a fully inclusive DE&I initiative, embracing male allies and championing equity throughout the organisation.

Inspired by this journey, we have sought to extend our impact beyond the workplace. Padel, one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, was chosen for its collaborative and accessible nature - but also because it reflects the same gender imbalance seen in corporate finance. Globally, women represent only 35-40% of padel players, with men still dominating the sport*.

The recent Women in Padel event at Destination Padel in Northwich, sponsored by Clearwater and hosted by Padel Stories Podcast presenters Nick Bianchi and Jen Dooley, alongside Tim Crutchley from Padel Marketing, brought together women across all levels from the finance industry. The event provided a platform for meaningful professional relationships to take place, whilst aligning with our broader strategy to promote women’s leadership beyond traditional corporate environments.

In other recent events, our team in Manchester hosted ‘Sip and Sculpt’ with Paintvine UK - a creative networking event designed to encourage mindfulness, informal connection, and peer engagement with women across a range of backgrounds.

Under a more corporate setting, we partnered with Browne Jacobson to deliver the ‘Empower Her’ Roundtable, led by Partner Sarah Taylor and Director Charlotte Astleford, which focused on mentorship, career progression, and addressing the challenges women continue to face in senior finance roles.

Through ongoing initiatives - integrating sport, creativity, and structured dialogue - we aim to create new pathways for women to connect and network with one another.

As part of our ESG and Impact agenda, we outline a series of clear and concise steps across our four pillars to address areas including diversity and inclusion.
