We have advised Flow Technology, one of Ireland's leading process engineering specialists, on its investment from Barry Wehmiller Forsyth Partners (BW Forsyth Partners), the investment arm of Barry-Wehmiller, the US-based global engineering and manufacturing group.
Founded in 1978 by Denis Murphy and headquartered in Charleville, Co. Cork, Flow Technology designs, fabricates, installs and maintains customised process systems for the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, distillery, food, beverage and dairy sectors across Ireland and Europe. The company provides turnkey process engineering – from concept design and skid fabrication through to site installation, commissioning, upgrade works and shutdown maintenance – alongside a specialist process equipment sales and distribution offering. Its team of mechanical, chemical and process engineers and master craftsmen, the majority of whom have been developed within the business from graduate and apprentice level, has built a long-standing reputation for technical excellence, quality and delivery with a blue-chip customer base of multinational and indigenous manufacturers.
BW Forsyth Partners is the investment arm of Barry-Wehmiller, a global supplier of manufacturing technology and services with more than 12,000 team members worldwide. Established in 2009, it partners with the leadership teams of small and mid-market companies in the capital and component equipment and professional services sectors, combining Barry-Wehmiller's people-centric culture and operational expertise with a long-term ownership model rather than a conventional buy-and-exit approach. The transaction will support Flow Technology's next phase of growth, providing access to international customer relationships, wider engineering capability and investment in its facilities, team and service offering, while preserving the autonomy, culture and leadership that have underpinned the company's success.
Our team provided a full suite of sell-side advisory support to Flow Technology throughout the transaction.
