We have advised the owners of Bone's on its merger with Jensens Bøfhus. The transaction merged two iconic Danish restaurant chains into one group.
Since the 1990s, Jensens Bøfhus has been a prominent Danish family-friendly restaurant concept. Bone's has become one of the leading restaurant chains in Denmark, with a focus on informal family experiences and good, high-quality food. Since 1990, Bone’s has operated its chain of American-inspired, informal restaurants throughout Denmark.
Selfinvest is a family-owned holding and investment company, and is also the parent company of the global USTC group, with more than 160 offices in 38 countries and more than 4,500 employees worldwide.
Jensens Bøfhus was acquired by a group of investors from Funen in 2018, and in recent years, the ownership circle has consisted of Selfinvest and a private investor, who will withdraw completely from ownership in connection with the sale, while Selfinvest will become a minority shareholder in Bone's.
The new group will comprise 39 restaurants and create more than 2,000 jobs in Denmark, while also opening up the possibility of a new and exciting Danish chain concept.
