We have advised the shareholders of Groupe Pagès (the Group), one of France’s leading companies in multi-trade development, custom layouts, and furniture manufacturing, in a majority LBO led by Galia Gestion, with the support of IDIA Capital Investissement, Sofilaro, and Bpifrance. This transaction enables the exit of iXO Private Equity and the founder-chairman N. Pagès, while allowing the reinvestment of the historic management team and the entry of new managers.
Headquartered in Saint-Christol-lès-Alès (30), Groupe Pagès employs nearly 130 people across five sites (Pagès Agencement in Saint-Christol-lès-Alès (30), Orléans and Lyon; RP Menuiserie, AFK Electricité and GSP Métallerie in Saint-Christol-lès-Alès (30); Gibastyl's in Vougy (42) and EMC in Cuinzier (42)) and is projected to achieve revenues of more than €45m in 2024.
Backed by iXO Private Equity, majority shareholder since 2018, the Group has successfully completed its managerial transition with the gradual withdrawal of N. Pagès in favour of L. Guyon, who arrived in 2020 as Chief Executive Officer, and the strengthening of the management team. The Group has doubled its revenue since 2018, becoming one of the leading players in fit-out and refurbishment services for establishments open to the public, thanks to a differentiating strategy.
The ability to develop ‘large-scale’ concepts on a national level through a local and proximity-oriented approach, with a focus on projects under €1m. A turnkey solution covering the entire life cycle of the facility, from an engineering and design department that defines concepts and works on-site architecture, to carrying out projects as a general contractor and managing maintenance. The Group is positioned as an expert in various sectors developed with major accounts, including store-retail (garments, cosmetics, etc.), hospitality, leisure (sports halls, cinemas), banking, insurance and mutual insurance, healthcare (retirement home, care homes, nurseries, laboratories), travel retail (stations, airports, motorway service areas), and B2B areas. Its hybrid production model, with a large network of subcontractors combined with its own production resources (woodwork, electrical engineering, locksmithing), enables the Group to manage operational challenges effectively.
The arrival of Galia Gestion, alongside IDIA, Sofilaro, and Bpifrance enables L. Guyon – who becomes Chairman – and his management team to accelerate the Group's development plan through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions. This includes pursuing and accelerating its commitment to future challenges, particularly with the acquisition of expertise to meet the new energy demands and the continuation of the Group's CSR strategy initiated by L. Guyon. Additionally, the Group plans to improve its geographical network to increase its presence, particularly in the Paris region and on the western coast, while expanding its service offerings in traditional verticals and new market sectors.
