We have advised DermaPharm, a manufacturer of high-quality skin care products, on its sale to the healthcare private equity fund Archimed.
DermaPharm is headquartered in Fårup, East Jutland, where the company’s 120 employees produce sun care, skin care, and hair care products — both under its own brands and as a CDMO for other brands.
For over 40 years, DermaPharm has developed and produced environmentally friendly, mild, and skin-friendly sun and skin care products in Denmark and abroad, setting the standard for quality in the industry. The company is known for its full-service expertise, from formula development to certification, production, and branding, and holds a strong reputation and leading position in the Scandinavian market, one of the most developed and regulated skincare markets in Europe, particularly when it comes to certifications such as the Swan and the Asthma and Allergy labels.
Archimed is a global private equity fund focused on the healthcare sector, strategically supporting companies in their next growth phase through internationalisation, innovation, and mergers and acquisitions.
DermaPharm is the sixth company Archimed has invested in within its Consumer Health division, underscoring the fund’s focus on health-related consumer products. DermaPharm’s CEO, Mikkel Egelund Jensen, and the management team, who have also reinvested significantly, will lead the next chapter in DermaPharm’s growth journey, accelerating development by expanding the sun care range, increasing production capacity, and strengthening distribution channels to reach more pharmacies, retail stores, and skincare brands across the Nordics and internationally.
