We have advised the shareholders of SKS Rehab AG (SKS Rehab) and Roltec El-Korestole A/S (Roltec), two leading European high-end power wheelchair providers, on the merger to become SKS Roltec and sale to Eqwal Group (Eqwal), a portfolio company of Naxicap Partners.
Swiss-based SKS Rehab and Danish-based Roltec have decided to merge into SKS Roltec, after a multi-year increase in co-operation. The ambition is to further enhance their position in the European wheelchair market by providing high-end and individualised solutions for advanced customer needs. This will drive innovation, strengthen their presence across all European markets with a focus on customer proximity, and enhance both technical expertise and solution-oriented capabilities.
SKS Roltec has chosen to become part of Eqwal, renowned for its expertise in supporting people with disabilities worldwide, as well as its leadership in digital solutions and upper limb prosthetics. Also, Eqwal operates the Eqwal Foundation, which supports people with disabilities in underprivileged countries around the world. The integration of SKS Roltec will place them at the core of Eqwal’s development in ‘mobility’ and business-to-business activity, helping to strengthen the group's mission to serve patients around the world.
