Clearwater has advised Tearfil Group (Tearfil), a manufacturer of open–end and conventional yarns for the textile industry, on the sale and leaseback of its industrial facilities to Turismo Fundos.
With more than 50 years’ experience, Tearfil has been manufacturing yarns used in knitwear, home textiles, decorative items clothing, and upholstery. The company has its own collection of raw materials, enabling the production of fine and technical yarns, in a high-quality circular economy.
Turismo Fundos, through its ‘FIEAE – Fundo Imobiliário Especial de Apoio às Empresas’ fund, provides an alternative funding source to viable SMEs, through the acquisition of their real estate assets.
This transaction will allow Tearfil to optimise its current financing structure and generate additional funds to support future growth, as well as reinforcing its leadership position within the yarns industry.
