Clearwater UK has advised Trinity, an international environmental, health, and safety, engineering and life sciences consulting firm and portfolio company of Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP), on the acquisition of ECOSA, a specialist in ecological consulting and provider of protected species surveys.
Trinity is the largest provider of air quality compliance, permitting and related services in North America, with further operations in Canada, China, Australia, and the UK. In recent years, the company has leveraged M&A to broaden its consulting services, expanding into water quality, toxicology, industrial hygiene, process engineering and acoustics. The deal sees Trinity strengthen its presence in the UK market and further expand its breadth of ecological services.
Headquartered in Hampshire, ECOSA collaborates with clients to comply with ecology regulations, secure necessary consents, obtain protected species licenses and deliver ecological compensation and enhancement measures required as part of the planning process. Clients include architects, housing developers, construction companies, education providers, conservation organisations, private home owners, and planning authorities.
