Clearwater advises the Group of Butchers management on its acquisition with Equistone Partners Europe Group from Nordian Capital Partners
Clearwater has advised the management team of Group of Butchers, a producer of meat products, on the company’s acquisition with Equistone Partners Europe Group (Equistone), a mid-market company investor, from Nordian Capital Partners (Nordian), a mid-market private equity firm.
Group of Butchers is a producer of high-quality meat products, including beef deli meat, deluxe cooked ham, steak tartare, meatballs, and smoked sausages. With around 350 employees in six locations throughout the Netherlands and Belgium, the company’s turnover is €125m.
Equistone invests in mid-market companies in Western Europe, with an enterprise value of up to €300m. Their portfolio consists of 45 companies located throughout France, Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands.
Nordian is a Dutch mid-market private equity firm, that evolved from Rabo Capital. It has a current portfolio of 13 companies and assists management teams in realising their growth plans.
With Equistone as a new shareholder, Group of Butchers will further strengthen its position in the processed meat industry.
