UK

We have advised ICG and LDC-backed Lomond Group, the UK's leading lettings and estate agent platform, on its acquisition of Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH) a renowned sales and lettings agent.

KFH is an extremely well-established business enjoying a significant share of the London property market, offering a vast scope for further expansion across London’s most densely populated boroughs.

Having been established more than 45 years ago, KFH operates more than 60 branches throughout key London boroughs, offering a comprehensive range of property services to the capital’s property market. The latest acquisition of KFH includes close to 14,000 properties under management, as well as build-to-rent, block management, surveying and financial services offerings.

This bolt-on acquisition follows Lomond’s recent investment from ICG. Our team advised LDC and the shareholders of Lomond on securing a new partner and investment from ICG, with LDC reinvesting alongside the new investor.

KFH is a brand I’ve admired for many years in the London market and to have them part of Lomond underlines our ambitions for growth within London. The acquisition of KFH marks an incredibly exciting chapter for us, whilst this is our second brand in the capital after the recent acquisition of Chase Evans, this now gives us significant opportunity across a number of key London boroughs and vast potential for future growth as we add KFH as our cornerstone brand in London whilst working with the teams at Chase Evans to leverage the capabilities of both businesses and brands. The addition of more than 50 London branches to our nationwide network, means we’re now able to directly refer buyers and investors from London to our brands across the country and vice versa – an exciting development for our marketing strategy and a key component of our journey to become the leading estate and lettings agency business in the country.

Ed Phillips, CEO, Lomond

Delighted to have advised Lomond on the transformational acquisition of KFH. This gives Lomond a strong, well-established London entry platform to develop with Lomond’s proven lettings M&A strategy and ancillary services model. An exciting fast start to Lomond’s new partnership with ICG.
