We have advised Promotal, a designer and manufacturer of medical devices, on its sale to Eloi, a specialist in medical and beauty products.
Based in Mayenne (France) near Laval, Promotal is a manufacturer of medical furniture with approximately €10m in sales, half of which are generated abroad, in around 50 countries. The company produces examination couches, gynaecological tables, and stretchers for doctors, hospitals, retirement homes, and specialised centres. The sale of this company is part of its parent company's strategy to refocus on its dental activities and the Asian market.
The American group Midmark Corporation generates sales of approximately €400m through the manufacturing of equipment and software for the medical, veterinary, and dental markets.
Acquired in 2010 by Rudolf Mouradian, Eloi is a specialist in medical and beauty products with recognised expertise in instrumentation, sterilisation and medical imaging. To finance this acquisition, Eloi raises €2m from A Plus Finance. This acquisition allows Eloi to leverage Promotal's international base to accelerate its export development and expand its offering with a highly innovative range of products.
