We have advised TMC Nordic (TMC), a leading Nordic distributor of luxury and niche cosmetics, on its sale to Nobilis Group, the DACH region’s leading beauty distributor, backed by Gebr. Heinemann.

Founded in 2014 by CEO Heidi Behrens, TMC has established itself as the leading Nordic platform for distribution of niche fragrances and skincare through a strong category-driven approach. Levering its deep local market expertise, TMC has evolved from a traditional distributor of goods to a business development partner, offering a portfolio of luxury fragrances and active clean skincare.

For over 30 years, Nobilis Group has been the leading independent and owner-managed beauty distributor in the DACH region, partly owned by Gebr. Heinemann, one of the world’s leaders in travel retail and distribution and the European market leader in Europe.

In the new partnership, TMC will benefit from the strategic support of Nobilis and Gebr. Heinemann, enhancing its capabilities and further strengthening its position in the Nordics. Together, the three parties are poised to establish the strongest European platform in the luxury and niche cosmetics segment.

The fragrance market is developing rapidly, with exclusive niche fragrances emerging as a high-growth category in recent years—a fact that major fashion houses have noticed, leading to substantial investments in the category as they recognise it as an important entry point to their brand universes.

As a distributor, TMC Nordic plays an essential role in the development of niche brands in the Nordics, with its unique track record in building selective distribution and enhancing brand equity for its suppliers. Nobilis Group, backed by Gebr. Heinemann, is the ideal partner to support the scaling TMC will experience in the coming years. It is the ambition that, within the next few years, TMC will become the largest distributor in this category in the Nordics.
