Clearwater has advised the founders and owners of Infrakraft, a fast-growing market leader within infrastructure development in Sweden, on its sale to the sustainability-focused private equity fund Trill Impact.
Infrakraft carries out intricate work in complete construction and multidisciplinary projects throughout Sweden. With a core focus on railway construction and services, the company is driving the shift towards reduced energy usage and sustainable development. In 2021, sales of €150m (SEK 1.6bn) with EBITDA of €18m (SEK 190m) were reached, having grown rapidly throughout the past years.
During a Clearwater-led process in the spring of 2022, the founders chose to partner with Trill Impact, who acquired a minority stake in the company. The private equity fund together with the founders and the management team, who remain in the majority going forward, will continue the company’s growth journey through internationalisation and entry into other sustainable segments.
