We have advised BKW on the acquisition of four wind farms in France from Samfi Invest.
Swiss utility BKW has acquired four wind farms in France, totalling 49 megawatts, with an option to purchase a fifth, from Samfi Invest Group, a French investment company.
One of the farms has been operational since May 1, 2016, while the other three are in the planning or construction phase, with expected network connection between 2017 and 2018. With 22 turbines and a total installed capacity of over 49 megawatts, these wind farms are expected to produce around 120 gigawatt hours of electricity annually, equivalent to the annual consumption of more than 18,000 households.
This marks BKW’s second investment in the French wind power sector, further consolidating its position as the leading Swiss operator of wind farms both in Switzerland and internationally.
