Clearwater is pleased to announce that its French partner, Vulcain, has completed its rebrand and will now operate as Clearwater in France & Belgium. The team will continue to operate from Paris, bringing deep small and mid‑cap expertise to clients across both markets.
Vulcain joined Clearwater in early 2025, bringing a team of around 30 professionals, including seven partners, and establishing Paris as a key hub for the firm. Over the past decade, the team has completed more than 150 transactions, with cross-border activity accounting for more than 30% of their work, which will continue to grow through close collaboration at Clearwater.
This rebrand marks the next step in our partnership and strengthens our footprint in Continental Europe. Clients will benefit from on‑the‑ground sector expertise in France and Belgium, combined with seamless access to Clearwater’s global footprint.

Thierry-Falque Pierrotin, CEO, Clearwater in France & Belgium, commented:
“Rebranding as Clearwater is a decisive step in our development. Our objective is simple: to deliver best-in-class advice and execution to mid-market clients in France and Belgium, powered by Clearwater’s international reach. Today’s rebrand reflects how we already work day-to-day, as one team serving our clients without borders.”
Phil Burns, Chair and Co-Founder of Clearwater, added:
“We’re delighted that Vulcain has now taken on the Clearwater name. Since joining us in February, they have been working seamlessly as part of the Clearwater team, so this rebrand simply makes official what has already been the reality. We’re very pleased they will be representing Clearwater in France and Belgium.”
With this change, Clearwater now brings together more than 425 professionals across 20 offices in Europe, supported by strategic partnerships in the US and Asia, underlining our position as one of Europe’s leading independent corporate finance advisory firms.
