We have advised the owners of Infometric, a leading Swedish provider at the heart of the green energy transition and an expert in IMD (individual metering and billing of energy and water), on the sale of 80% of the company to the listed software group Vitec.
As a leading IMD solutions provider for multi‑family residential properties, Infometric’s offering includes both hardware, such as electricity and water meters and temperature sensors, and software delivered through a proprietary SaaS platform that collects, analyses, and manages large volumes of energy and water consumption data.
At the time of the transaction, Infometric had nearly 600,000 measuring points installed across more than 300,000 apartments throughout Sweden and is a leading player in its niche. The company’s solutions enable significant energy and cost savings for both households and property owners by providing real‑time measurement of electricity and water consumption, as well as temperature levels, in multi‑family buildings.
Through the transaction, Infometric gains a new long‑term principal owner in Vitec, which can actively support the company’s continued growth through its extensive hands-on experience from owning niche software businesses with solutions for both the energy and property sectors.
