We have advised BioSalma, a Swedish health and wellness company, on its sale to Vision Healthcare, a fast‑growing European digital‑first omni‑channel platform. 

BioSalma was born from a simple but powerful idea: that health should be part of everyday life and accessible to everyone. With a focus on effective and affordable dietary supplements and vitamins, BioSalma has gradually established itself as a leading Swedish brand. By being present where everyday life takes place, in e-commerce, pharmacies and grocery stores, the company has become a natural choice for many. Just like milk and bananas, health should be simple, accessible and easy to obtain. 

With a strong ambition to build on their success and continue BioSalma’s growth journey, the founders sought a strategic partner who could help bring their products to even more consumers across the Nordics and Europe. After a thorough process together with Clearwater, they chose Vision Healthcare, a highly complementary match that pairs BioSalma’s well‑positioned brand with Vision Healthcare’s European consumer health platform and extensive reach. 

Today, BioSalma is an established Swedish brand in dietary supplements and vitamins, offering affordable, safe and high‑quality health products for everyone. Its portfolio includes vitamins, minerals, dietary supplements and sports nutrition, distributed through a wide network of e‑commerce, pharmacy and grocery partners. 

The company was founded in 2013 by Emil and Johan, who early on identified the opportunity to make use of the nutrient‑rich and important parts of the salmon that do not become fillets, the part that traditionally carries the greatest potential for value creation. By combining efficient and responsible resource use with high-quality standards, they saw a business model with significant potential for scalable growth. What began as an idea to use the whole raw material in a smarter way has grown into a rapidly expanding company that today also sources carefully selected raw materials from around the world. The result is supplements with proven effectiveness, developed with respect for our resources and environment, and offering clear, measurable health benefits for consumers. 

Vision Healthcare, backed by Avista Healthcare Partners, is a fast‑growing European consumer health platform with a broad portfolio of health and self‑care brands. Its omni‑channel strategy combines strong digital capabilities with direct‑to‑consumer reach. 

Together, the parties will strengthen access to health products for consumers across the Nordics and Europe. The deal is expected to drive accelerated growth and create significant synergies in areas such as sourcing and distribution.
