We have advised ICG Infra, the European Infrastructure team of ICG, the global alternative asset manager (ICG Infra), on the signing of a partnership agreement with Comcreta, a leading provider of maintenance, and vegetation control management to the Italian railway sector.
Comcreta carries out maintenance work across the Italian railway network, drawing on its in-depth technical expertise and extensive experience in the sector. The company operates under long-term framework agreements with Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), ensuring safety and efficiency through daily maintenance, repair and vegetation management along railway corridors.
The partnership with ICG Infra is designed to facilitate the next phase of the company’s expansion, against a backdrop of accelerating investment in Italy’s rail infrastructure, focusing on strengthening operational capabilities, expanding into adjacent business lines, and pursuing accretive M&A opportunities in Italy and abroad.
The transaction is expected to be finalised in the coming months, subject to approval by Golden Power and the Competition Authority.
