We have advised the shareholders of Coverwind Solutions (Coverwind), a specialist provider of services to the renewable energy sector, on its sale to Muehlhan Wind Service (MWS), a leading international platform for wind industry services that supports the world’s leading manufacturers and owners of renewable energy assets.
Founded 10 years ago, Coverwind has become a leading provider to the wind energy industry, achieving a turnover of €26m in 2025 and carrying out projects in more than 20 countries. With a strong international presence, particularly in France and the Nordics, the company provides wind farm decommissioning and maintenance services, blade repair, and specialised technical support, as well as having a growing presence in the solar photovoltaic sector.
MWS supports the world’s leading manufacturers and owners of renewable energy assets, offering solutions for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of both onshore and offshore wind turbines. With a presence in more than 35 countries, the company has established itself as one of the leading platforms in the renewable energy sector in Europe.
The acquisition strengthens MWS’s presence in southern Europe and expands its capabilities in strategic, high value-added areas, such as wind turbine decommissioning and specialised technical services. It marks a new milestone in MWS’s growth strategy and follows on from the integration of Endiprev, taking a further step towards building a leading pan-European platform for renewable energy services.
As part of the transaction, Coverwind’s founding partners will reinvest in the new platform, maintaining their commitment to the business’s future growth and supporting the next phase of MWS’s development.
