Clearwater has advised Transparity Solutions (Transparity), a specialist Microsoft Cloud managed services provider, on raising debt facilities from NatWest to support the acquisition of DataShapa, a data and AI specialist. Clearwater’s modelling team supported the management team in presenting the underlying financial performance of the combined group.

Backed by Beech Tree Private Equity, Transparity currently has over 200+ employees across the UK. As a pureplay Microsoft Cloud services partner, Transparity specialises in providing consultancy, development, and managed services on Azure, Microsoft Security, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics. The company is one of very few partners to hold all six Microsoft Partner Designations, an MXDR certified cyber offering and amongst several Advanced Specialisations, the highly acclaimed Azure Expert MSP status.

The combination of deep expertise and an award-winning company culture, means Transparity ensures its customers’ investment in the cloud truly makes a difference to their organisation.

The acquisition of DataShapa ensures Transparity remains at the forefront of customers’ current and future needs. DataShapa provides strategic consultancy on data, AI, and BI solutions for enterprise customers. Based in southern England with customers throughout the UK, Europe, ME, and Asia, the company has been transforming businesses since 2016, by maturing the data strategies of its clients and building long term-relationships with them.

Within the new structure, DataShapa becomes Transparity’s specialist data practice benefitting both organisations’ customers. For Transparity’s clients, this provides significant expertise in modernising data architecture backed by deep expertise in BI, analytics, and data visualisation that help organisations plan, operate, and make more effective decisions.

The debt package was provided by NatWest and provides a flexible and efficient funding structure to support the business’s ambitious plans for growth.

Clearwater’s technical expertise and understanding of our requirements was excellent. They ran a well-executed process and secured a keenly negotiated funding package to support the acquisition and our growth plans. It was great to collaborate with the Debt Advisory team and we would be delighted to work with them again in the future.

It was a pleasure to work with the teams at Beech Tree and Transparity, raising debt facilities to facilitate this acquisition to allow Transparity to continue on its strong growth trajectory. I will be following Transparity with interest and wish them every success as they continue their journey with DataShapa.
