Clearwater has advised the shareholders of Global Factor Solutions, S.L. (Global Factor), a specialist in ESG consulting and ESG markets, on the sale of a minority stake to Nazca Capital (Nazca), a leading private equity group in Spain.

Founded in 2004 and based in Bilbao, Global Factor specialises in ESG consulting and ESG markets, offering its services to cover the full spectrum of sustainability demands from clients, this includes strategic and compliance consultancy to the implementation of environment offsetting policies. The group focuses on both the private and public sectors, with a recurring and highly diversified client base. It also has offices in Madrid, Mexico, and Ecuador.

Currently, the company offers its services in over 50 countries engaging in more than 3,000 consulting projects around the world, with a client base of over 2,900 and intermediating €1.3bn commercial transactions annually within the ESG markets division.

Based in Madrid, Spain, and founded in 2001, Nazca is one of the leading Spanish private equity fund managers, specialising in mid-market investments. With an average investment of €20-70m, the firm invests in market leaders with clear plans for growth and international expansion. Since its inception, it has completed more than 101 transactions and currently has 16 companies in its portfolio.
