We have advised Sasa Industrie on its sale to Argos Soditic.

In December 2016, Weinberg Capital Partners and Patrice Jacquelin sold their stake in Sasa Demarle Group to Argos Soditic.

Sasa Demarle Group is the world leader in the design and manufacture of baking equipment, primarily for bakery and pastry professionals. The group operates mainly through two branches: Sasa, which specialises in rigid and semi-rigid baking equipment, and Guy Demarle, the inventor of flexible supports and molds under the Flexipan and Silpat brands. The group has two production centres in France and three recoating centres in France, China, and the US.

The group has a turnover of nearly €60m, with more than half of its sales coming from outside France. This is primarily through a network of over 80 specialised distributors worldwide, and it has an EBITDA margin of approximately 15%.

Post-transaction, Argos Soditic will hold 95% of Sasa Industrie’s capital, while the management team will retain 5%. The acquisition was financed by unitranche debt provided by Idinvest Partners and Cerea Partenaire.
