Clearwater acted as sole financial adviser to Henkell & Co. Sektkellerei KG on the acquisition of Cavas Hill from the Insolvency Court in Barcelona.
With an annual production of 2 million bottles of cava and wine, Cavas Hill ranks among the top 10 producers of cava and wines from the Penedès region. The company will be able to leverage on the extensive international distribution network of Henkell & Co. to develop its international presence.
With 240 million produced bottles and revenues of €645m in 2010, Henkell & Co. is one of the leading European producers of sparkling wines, wines and spirits. The company has own locations in 18 different countries and exports to over 70 countries worldwide.
