Clearwater advises Cam Bioceramics on the sale of its Chinese activities to Orchid
Clearwater has advised Cam Bioceramics, a global orthobiologic innovator, on the sale of its Chinese production facility and operations, Cam China, to Orchid Orthopedic Solutions (Orchid), a worldwide leader in orthopaedic and medical devices.
Based in the Netherlands, Cam Bioceramics is a global orthobiologic materials innovator that specialises in calcium phosphates.
Headquartered in the US, Orchid is a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of products for the orthopaedic and medical device industries. With over 1,800 skilled employees and 15 production facilities, Orchid generates a turnover of around €270m.
With the acquisition of Cam China, Orchid further strengthens its role as a global, coating leader for the orthopaedic and medical device industries. It also enables Cam Bioceramics to focus on its core business of engineering, development, and contract manufacturing of orthobiologic calcium compositions.
