We are excited to welcome two senior dealmakers in the Netherlands, Martin Kooistra joins as Partner and Robert Voogd as Director. Together, they bring extensive deal execution experience, strengthening Clearwater’s strategic capabilities in the region.

Martin Kooistra, Partner
Martin has over 18 years of international M&A experience, supporting entrepreneurs, financial sponsors, and corporates specialising in industrials, business services, and consumer markets. His expertise encompasses cross-border sell-side and buy-side advisory, valuation assessments, and corporate carve-outs. Martin brings a hands-on approach to guiding clients through every stage of the transaction process, delivering tailored solutions aligned with their strategic objectives.
Before joining Clearwater, Martin was a Director at KPMG Corporate Finance, where he led the Industrials sector team. He also held M&A roles at ING and Deloitte Corporate Finance in Amsterdam and Dubai, covering the MENA region. Martin holds a bachelor’s degree in International Management from Copenhagen Business School and a master’s degree in Financial Management from Nyenrode University.

Robert Voogd, Director
Robert spent several years in PwC’s M&A team in both the Netherlands and Australia. Robert has primarily advised entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses on domestic and cross-border sell-side transactions to private equity investors. His experience also includes buy-side engagements, business enterprise valuations, restructuring projects, and financial and operational due diligence assignments.
