We advised OGM Moulding Ltd (OGM), a leading UK-based plastic injection moulders, on its sale to SP Group A/S (SP Group), a leading international supplier of custom polymer produced items.

OGM was founded in 1962 in Oxford by the four founding families, who have retained ownership up to the time of sale. Over more than 60 years, the business has developed into one of the UK's leading suppliers of injection-moulded precision components. The company operates from two modern factories in Oxfordshire and South Wales with a total production area of approximately 10,000 m² and is owned by the founding families behind the business.

OGM positions itself as a premium supplier and trusted development partner with a focus on technical, complex and critical components where quality, traceability and security of supply are essential. Most of the plastic components have further value added after the moulding process itself through a Box-Build concept, in which products are fully assembled, including validation, testing and packing.

SP Group is a leading supplier of manufactured plastic products for the manufacturing industries with growing sales and production from its own factories in Denmark, China, the USA, Latvia, Slovakia, Sweden, Finland and Poland. In addition, SP Group has sales and service companies in Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands and Canada. SP Group is listed on NASDAQ Copenhagen and had 2,799 employees as of 30 April 2026 and some 4,000 registered shareholders.

The acquisition offers considerable opportunities for increased cross-selling to OGM’s and SP Group’s customers as well as new capabilities to increase value creation for customers through Box-Build. At the same time, OGM will in the future be able to offer production outside the UK through SP Group’s global footprint and thereby become a more relevant partner for its customers with an international set-up.

Mark and the Clearwater Industrials team have been brilliant. They have managed every step of what is a very complex process and delivered the end result we wanted. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

We have built OGM over decades with a focus on quality and long-standing customer relationships. In SP Group, we have found an owner who shares our values and who will continue to develop the company, the employees and the customer relationships over the long term. I look forward to following OGM’s next chapter closely from the Board of Directors.

OGM is performing well. I am confident that we can develop even more strongly as part of SP Group, to the benefit of customers and employees, and I look forward to the employees of OGM and myself becoming part of a large and highly competitive company. I am confident that we can use SP Group’s international platform to win more customers both in the United Kingdom and abroad and to continue the positive development in Oxford and South Wales. I am passionate about developing new competitive solutions for customers, and that is what I will be spending my time on going forward.

Warren Berry, Group Managing Director, OGM

The acquisition represents an excellent strategic fit, creating significant opportunities for growth across existing and new customer relationships. With access to expanded capabilities and a global manufacturing footprint, the business is well-positioned to build on its strong reputation and continue delivering innovative solutions to customers in the UK and internationally.

Michael Loudon, Managing Director and Head of Industrials & Chemicals, Clearwater

Over multiple generations of family ownership, OGM has evolved into a highly regarded engineering-led manufacturer, supplying plastic parts and assemblies with high levels of value add like electronics components into critical end markets including healthcare and life sciences. The level of interest received from strategic acquirers across multiple geographies underlines the attractiveness of specialist manufacturers with deep technical expertise, exposure to resilient growth sectors and differentiated value-added capabilities. It has been a privilege to work with Paul and the wider OGM team throughout this process, and we look forward to seeing the business continue its impressive growth as part of SP Group.

Mark Gillingham, Director, Clearwater
