The Clearwater team has advised Franz Carl Weber, on its sale to a group of investors, led by CEO Yves Burger.
The group of investors is acquiring 100% of the share capital of Franz Carl Weber AG from the French financially tumbling Ludendo Group and thereby is enabling the going concern of this iconic brand on a completely independent basis. In addition to Yves Burger, the entrepreneur Marcel Dobler and the German toy manufacturer SIMBA DICKIE GROUP each acquire a 33% stake in Franz Carl Weber. This new group of shareholders makes the traditional Swiss company with its 19 stores fit for the future with exclusive expertise in the online sector and secure access to the increasingly important procurement markets for own brands.
The new owners, Yves Burger, former Managing Director, Marcel Dobler, co-founder of digitec, and the German toy company SIMBA DICKIE GROUP are putting the company on a new financial footing. This gives Franz Carl Weber new flexibility and creates the conditions to focus even more clearly on the customer's shopping experience. With the classic specialist retailer strengths of a broad product range, customer proximity and a high level of advisory expertise, Franz Carl Weber is set to return to its most glamorous days.
