Clearwater has advised RWL Advanced Solutions Limited (“RWL”), a leading value-added distributor of data cabling and network infrastructure solutions across Europe, on its sale to GCG, a leading value-added distributor of connectivity, automation and supply chain products and solutions in the US. GCG is owned by Audax Group (“Audax”), a leading private equity investor into US middle-market companies.

Founded in 2005, RWL has grown to become one the leading independent European distributors of data networking products, offering a full suite of solutions to companies in the data centre, telecoms, commercial, governmental and pharmaceutical industries. Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, RWL has offices in the UK and the Netherlands and has expanded rapidly across Europe over the past 2 years.

RWL’s customer-centric proposition and broad technical expertise, combined with significant penetration and growth within the data centre, telecom, and data networking markets, has seen the company achieve significant growth to date. The partnership with GCG offers RWL the ability to scale upwards as the company targets increased market-share in the data centre, commercial and pharmaceutical markets across Europe and beyond.

The depth and breadth of GCG’s offerings across its business areas will be extremely beneficial to RWL as we continue to grow and expand. With a common customer-first mentality, RWL joining GCG will be very smooth and allow us to quickly capitalise on the benefits for our customers and suppliers.
