We advised Jysk-Fynsk Kapital and the owners of KE Fibertec A/S on its sale to the US company Rite-Hite.
KE Fibertec was founded in 1963 in Vejen and is today the global market leader in textile-based ventilation. The company’s woven textile ducts ensure even, draught-free air distribution with a significantly lower carbon footprint than conventional steel ducts and are used in everything from office buildings and sports halls to food production, laboratories and industrial environments. KE Fibertec controls the entire value chain with its own weaving mills and production facilities in Denmark, the Czech Republic and the USA; with subsidiaries and partners in more than 20 countries, over 85 per cent of its turnover is generated from exports. Jysk-Fynsk Kapital has been the majority shareholder since 2007, alongside the management.
Rite-Hite is a family-owned American industrial group headquartered in Milwaukee with approximately 2,200 employees globally. Rite-Hite manufactures solutions for industrial facilities, including industrial doors, loading ramps and safety solutions, with a focus on safety, productivity and operational efficiency, and already owns DuctSox, an American manufacturer of textile-based air distribution systems.
Following several years of growth, the group of owners wished to transfer KE Fibertec to a new owner who could continue the company’s growth. The transaction brings together KE Fibertec and Ductsox, creating a market leader in textile-based ventilation ducts. The combination unites KE Fibertec’s integrated production platform and European market position with Rite-Hite’s global sales organisation and North American footprint. KE Fibertec’s management team will remain in place and play a central role in the integration of the two businesses.
