We have advised TimeChimp, a Dutch SaaS business offering best-in-class time tracking and project management solutions, on its sale to Visma, a software services company.
TimeChimp offers its solution to over 4,000 customers in the Netherlands and Belgium and has been doing so since 2015 when its founders, Fred Al and Wouter Baltus, started TimeChimp out of frustration with hour registration. Besides time tracking functionalities, TimeChimp developed a project management module and has capabilities to invoice hours. In addition to these proprietary features, TimeChimp offers approximately 30 integrations with accounting and payroll software to automate the entire workflow.
Visma is a leading provider of business-critical cloud software, with revenue of €2.4bn in 2023, 16,000 employees and 1.9 million customers across Europe and Latin America. By simplifying and automating the work of businesses and organisations, Visma enables a more efficient and prosperous society. Visma's software offering in the Dutch and Belgian markets includes solutions for financial management, HRM, procurement and e-government. Visma Benelux comprises more than 50 companies, all focusing on business-critical cloud software. Visma is proud title sponsor of Team Visma | Lease a Bike, one of the world's best cycling teams.
Clearwater orchestrated a structured and competitive process, guiding the company through all phases and providing the shareholders with well-informed advice on key decisions. With this acquisition, Visma further expands its offering with intuitive solutions that help companies simplify their processes and increase productivity. TimeChimp will continue to operate as an independent entity within the Visma group. The company will continue to serve customers with the software and service they are used to, while benefiting from Visma's knowledge and resources.
