We have advised Global Vehicle Group, the leading car and van leasing broker in the B2B market, on its sale of a majority stake to Palladian Investment Partners (subject to regulatory approval). Our combined team provided M&A, Debt Advisory and Modelling & Data Analytics support on this transaction.

Global Vehicle Group is the UK’s largest and most diverse B2B leasing broker. Through their specialist brands – Global Vans, XLCR, LCV, and Fleet Alliance – they manage over 70,000 vehicles with assets under management exceeding €2.9bn (£2.5bn).

Serving businesses of all sizes, the company’s core specialisms span van leasing, fleet management, electric car salary sacrifice and car leasing, with a particular focus on the commercial and B2B sectors.

This transaction will mark a new phase in the Global Vehicle Group’s growth story, and it will see the current private equity sponsor, H2 Equity Partners, exit the business on completion of the transaction.

We are incredibly excited to partner with Palladian, who share our vision that our business can continue on its strong growth trajectory and take a bigger share of the huge market for corporate cars and vans in the UK. It will allow us to build on our market leading customer proposition by developing our proprietary technology and investing in our great team of people. We are grateful to H2 Equity Partners for their support as our first private equity partner and they have been highly instrumental to our success over the past four years.

We are pleased to have partnered with the team at Global Vehicle Group since 2022 in a period that has seen significant growth for the business, both organically and with a compelling M&A strategy. Clearwater has provided exceptional support during this transaction with their dedicated and knowledgeable team.

Simon Gilbert, Senior Partner, H2 Equity Partners

We are delighted to have advised Global Vehicle Group on this significant transaction, supporting H2's successful exit and Palladian's investment in the business. Global Vehicle Group demonstrates the power of an asset-light, tech-enabled model to redefine a traditional market, delivering clear benefits to customers while creating value across its supply chain.

Supporting ambitious companies that challenge convention and execute exceptionally well is exactly what we are passionate about, and we have every confidence that the business will continue to go from strength to strength alongside Palladian.

Michael Loudon, Partner and Head of Industrials & Chemicals, Clearwater

Global Vehicle Group is an outstanding business, establishing itself as one of the UK's leading fleet services platforms through the vision and commitment of founders Andrew Hurst and Jon Lewis, supported by an exceptional management team. Following four years of great success under H2 Private Equity, Palladian's investment provides a strong platform for the next phase of growth, and we are delighted to have played a role in bringing the parties together and we wish the business every success as it embarks on this exciting new chapter.

This transaction further strengthens Clearwater's track record in the fleet and automotive services sector, building on our extensive experience advising market-leading businesses across the sector.
